Meet Josh Vass, an accomplished vocal coach and performer who is ready to guide you on your singing journey. Currently studying Music Performance at Melbourne University's Conservatorium of Music, Josh brings a wealth of skills to the table, including a strong foundation in classical vocal technique, extensive professional experience both interstate and overseas, audition preparation expertise, and a deep understanding of vocal health, musicianship, and theory.

Josh HAS not only performED to crowds exceeding 120,000 but also collaborateD with esteemed artists like Marina Prior, Cameron Daddo, Stefanie Jones, and Silvie Paladino.
Josh boasts diverse stage experience, collaborating with Opera Australia, Victorian Opera, Universal Studios, and the Gordon Frost Organisation. He has captivated audiences internationally in New Zealand, Japan, Central Australia, South Australia, and Europe, performing in renowned venues like Bach's church in Leipzig and Mozart's Cathedral in Salzburg. His outstanding contributions have garnered prestigious awards, including the IAAPA Brass Ring Award and Green Room Awards.

Josh's musical journey began at a local school, where his passion for the arts flourished, leading to a scholarship at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School from Year 8-12. With fourteen years of training under his belt, including stints with the Australian Boys Choir Institute and the Victorian Opera Youth Program, Josh has cultivated his skills under the guidance of renowned vocal coaches such as Nicholas Dinopoulos, Noel Ancell, Carolyn Waddell, Timothy Reynolds, and currently Linda Barcan.

In addition to his performance expertise, Josh has a strong commitment to mentorship and education. He has experience in vocal coaching across various music genres, and is passionate about mentoring aspiring singers, whilst also tutoring students in VCE music performance and music theory.

How our classes work

Book your first lesson

Your first class $30 and is a private face-to-face lesson with a coach of your preference. This is a great opportunity to ensure Coach Music is a good fit while we get to know each student’s personality, goals and skills.
Tailored to suit your needs

Understanding each student ensures we can place them in the most suitable setting for them to learn, whether that’s a group or private class. We group our classes to ensure all students will learn at the same pace with confidence.
Weekly Lessons

When you're ready to join Coach Music Academy, we'll work together to find a time that suits you every week for your lessons. Payments are made easily through direct debit every two weeks. You have the flexibility to pause or cancel your classes whenever you need to. We want to make sure you have a hassle-free experience with us!
